Add ghee to the pan and heat on medium flame
Furthermore add cumin seeds, bay leaf and asafoetida; splutter
Add 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic and give a quick mix
Furthermore add onion; saute till onions turn translucent
Add tomatoes; mix well and cook till tomatoes turn slightly mushy
Furthermore, add coriander powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, gram masala salt; mix well and cook for 3 minutes
Add 1 cup of water and bring to boil
furthermore add cooked rice +dal; mix well
Add spinach ; mix well and cook for 7 minutes
Finally add ghee and pinch of jaggery; mix well and cook for 1 minute
