Ingredients

Roast

  • 1/2 cup rava
  • 7 cashews chopped
  • 3 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Kesari

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups boiling hot water
  • little Food color
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1 tablespoon ghee

Instructions

  • For this Kesari method always use Fine Sooji
  • Firstly add ghee and oil and turn on the stove on medium flame
  • Add cashew and do a quick saute
  • Furthermore, add rava and sauteĀ  well for 4 minutes until rava turns aromatic and cashew turns golden brown
  • Immediately transfer to a bowl and set aside
  • Add sugar, hot water, salt and bring it to boil
  • When sugar water starts to boil add food color, cardamom powder, and ghee andĀ  let it boil well
  • Add roasted rava and mix well
  • Cook for around 2 minutes or until rava gets cooked and mixtures come together
  • Turn down the flame to low and cover with a lid
  • Cook for 2 minutes. Sauteing in between is optional
  • open the lid and mix well, tasty Kesari is ready
