Small pieces Tamarind

sesame oil

teaspoon
mustard seeds
Chilli powder
Instructions
Steam cook nellikai
First steam cook nellika for 8 minutes; cool and keep aside
Saute
add oil to the pan and heat
Add urad Dal, coriander seeds, pepper and red chilli; roast till they change color
Furthermore add ginger; roast till Dal turn golden brown
Turn off the stove
Transfer and cool
Add coconut; mix well and cool
Grind thogayal- Mixie or blender
First grind Dal mixture
Add coconut grind again
Furthermore deseed and add nellikai, salt and water; grind
Thogayal
Add oil and heat
Furthermore add mustard seeds and splutter
Add asafeotida, chilli powder , ground mixture and tamarind;mix well and cook for 2 minutes
nellikai chutney
Add extra water and grind into a smooth chutney
Finally add coconut oil and temper mustard seeds, urad dal, and hing; add it to the chutney
