Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon + 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Wet ingredients:

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 3 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract

Buttercream frosting

  • 1 stick room temperature
  • 1 + 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 tablespoon heavy cream + extra as needed

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or place a stand on a pan and preheat for 10 minutes
  • Place parchment paper on a cake pan and grease with baking spray
  • Firstly take flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt and sieve to get a lump free smooth flour
  • In a microwave-safe glass add sugar, water, oil, and softened butter, microwave for 2 minutes. Microwave till sugar is melted and you see clear liquid
  • Furthermore, add vanilla extract and condensed milk; mix well
  • Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix gently until everything is combined well
  • Transfer the batter and tap the pan to remove air bubbles

Bake cake in the oven

  • Place the cake and bake for 20-25 minutes (until a toothpick inserted comes out clean )

  • Place cake pan on the stand, cover with a lid, and bake for20-25 minutes (until a toothpick inserted comes out clean )

unmold and cool the cake

  • Leave the cake for 5 minutes then unmold the cake and remove parchment paper
  • Keep aside and cool completely

Prepare Buttercream frosting

  • Whisk butter till it turns creamy
  • Furthermore add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, pudding mix, and cream; mix well and prepare a smooth buttercream frosting

Frost the cake

  • After the cake is completely cool place the cake on top of the cake stand
  • Add crumb coat and refrigerate for 30 minutes
  • After 30 mins Pipe frosting according to your preference
