Ingredients

Chocolate milk

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoon chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

serve

  • 2 tablespoon heavy whipped cream

Instructions

  • First, Add all the ingredients mentioned under “chocolate milk”
  • turn on the stove to medium flame and whisk well till you see clear grain free chocolate milk
  • bring to a boil and turn off the stove
  • filter and add to the cup
  • finally, add whipped cream and serve hot

Notes

  1. I always use cow’s milk. Never experimented with other varieties of milk. Use whole fat or 2% milk. Avoid 1 %
  2. I used 100% unsweetened cocoa. If you are using sweetened cocoa adjust the sugar accordingly
  3. Use chocolate chips or grated chocolate. I have used semi-sweet chocolate chips. You can also use dark chocolate
  4. always mix well all the ingredients for even mixing. I prefer using a whisk as it helps for smooth blending
  5. yes, but boiling on the stovetop makes it flavorful
  6. An Italian version of hot chocolate is thick and silky. Increase the chocolate and add little cornstarch
  7. I prefer adding heavy whipped cream. You can add marshmallows, grated chocolate, etc.
