Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  • Combine rice flour, sesame oil, and salt; mix well.
  • Add water and mix with a ladle until you get a soft, crack-free, pliable dough.
  • Grease the idli plate and idiyappam press with sesame oil.
  • Add a portion of dough to the press and squeeze it onto the idli plate.
  • Boil water in the idli pot and steam for 5 minutes.
