Ingredients

dough

  • 1 cup fluffy leftover rice heaped
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Less than 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup rice flour heaped

Idiyappam

  • Sesame oil

Instructions

  • First grind rice flour, water, sesame oil, and salt
  • Add sesame oil and cook till porridge consistency
  • Furthermore add rice flour; mix well and cook till it turns into a non sticky pliable dough
  • Grease sesame oil. Cover with a damp cloth
  • After it is cool enough to handle pinch a portion
  • Grease idiyappam press and plate
  • Press idiyappam and steam cook for 3 minutes
  • Rest then serve
