Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon urad dal
  • onion
  • Curry leaves
  • 6 garlic
  • 1 onion
  • Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Sambar powder
  • Required salt
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 6 brinjals
  • 2 drumsticks

Instructions

  • First, Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds, fennel seeds, and urad salt
  • Add garlic and curry leaves; saute
  • Add the onion and give a quick mix
  • Furthermore, add turmeric powder and salt; saute well
  • Add tomatoes; quick mix
  • Furthermore, add drumsticks and brinjal; saute for a minute
  • Add sambar powder; mix well
  • Furthermore, add water; close and cook till the drumstick and brinjals cook well
  • Open and cook till the thokku comes together
