Mixed Nuts & Roasted Gram Kebab | Pottukadalai Cutlet | Dahi Kebab

Protein rich evening snacks for kids with nut, roasted gram and sour cream. This after school snacks can be prepared within 15 minutes. If you have a surprise guest Sour cream kebab is perfect. Nuts cutlet is a great appetizer too.

Ingredients

  • Roasted Gram - 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp
  • Mixed nuts - 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp
  • Sour cream - 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp
  • Kitchen king Masala - 1 tsp
  • Salt - as needed
  • To fry:
  • Oil - as needed

Instructions

  • Powder mixed nuts and roasted Gram together and use 1 cup for the kebab
  • In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients listed and make a dough
  • Grease hand with little one, take small portion of the dough. Make a ball and press it plate around 1/2 inch thickness and keep it in a plate. Repeat the process and spread the kebab in a plate
  • In a wide pan add oil, once the oil is hot gently add the kebabs, cook till the bottom side is brown for about a minute and gently flip. Cook till the other side is brown. Serve hot with ketchup

Notes

1. Kebabs can be made with all roasted gram or all mixed nuts version
2. If you are doing add nuts version make sure you pulse the nuts as the nutss ooze out oil
3. Add extra sour cream if the dough is kept for a long time
4. If you prefer cutlet to be on the softer side add extra sour cream
5. Kebab can be deep fried
6. Add bread crumbs if the dough become watery
7. Onion, garlic and grated vegetables can be added for extra flavour
8. Chilli powder or other seasoning can be added since my son prefer less spicy version
