    Unlike Italian pasta, Indian Style Pasta uses spices like biryani masala, garam masala for a desi flavor.

    Cheese for vegetable pasta

    Based on my kid's taste, I have used mozzarella. You can also use cheddar, Gouda, Gruyère, Fontina, and Parmesan etc.

     What is the stove-top method for cooking pasta?

    Boil water in a large pan, add salt and pasta, and cook uncovered for 8–10 minutes until al dente. Drain and use as required.

    Which method is quicker — pressure cooker or stove top?

    The pressure cooker method is faster, while the stove top method gives more control over texture.

    Is pressure cooker pasta safe?

    Yes, when cooked with the right water ratio and only 1 whistle, pasta turns out safe and tasty.

    Can I use oil instead of butter

    Yes, you can use oil

    Ingredients

    1 tablespoon butter

    ½ teaspoon cumin seeds

    ¼ cup chopped onion

    1 tablespoon ketchup

    ¼ cup chopped carrot

    2 tablespoon frozen peas

    ¼ cup chopped bell pepper

    1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

    ¼ cup chopped tomatoes

    ¾ cup pasta

    1 teaspoon kitchen king masala

    1 teaspoon biryani masala

    ¾ cup water

    ½ cup paneer, shredded 

    Salt to taste

    How to make masala pasta recipe with step-by-step pictures

    •  Heat butter in a pressure cooker until melted.

     

    •  Add cumin seeds and chopped onion; sauté for 30 seconds.

    •  Add carrot, bell pepper, ginger garlic paste, frozen peas, tomatoes, salt, biryani masala, and kitchen king masala; sauté until tomatoes turn mushy.

    •  Stir in ketchup, pasta, and water; mix well and ensure nothing is stuck to the bottom.

    •  Add paneer, cover, and pressure cook for 1 whistle. Then simmer on the lowest flame for 1 minute.

    •  Allow natural pressure release, then mix well.

    •  Sprinkle cheese, mix, and serve hot.
