Ingredients

To temper

  • 2 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon chana dal
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • curry leaves
  • 1 red chilli

Okra curry

  • 1 green chilli
  • 275 grams okra
  • 3 garlic
  • 1 cup small onion
  • 1/2 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 tap salt
  • Pinch turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoon coconut
  • 1 tablespoon crushed roasted peanuts

Instructions

preparation

  • First, wash okra and dry them completely before
  • thaw coconut
  • pulse roasted peanuts

temper

  • Add oil to the pan and oil turns hot
  • Furthermore add mustard seeds, chana dal, cumin seeds, curry leaves; fennel seeds and red chilli; let them splutter

poriyal

  • Furthermore, add green chilli, crushed garlic and onion ; sauté for a minute
  • Furthermore, add turmeric powder; quick well
  • add okra; mix well
  • Sauté till slimy texture goes
  • add salt and curry powder; mix well and sauté for 3 minutes
  • Furthermore, add coconut; mix well
  • finally add peanuts; sauté for 2 minutes
