Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup moong dal
  • 3 red chilli
  • 1 cup hot water
  • salt
  • Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • curry leaves
  • Dosai
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Coriander leaves
  • Sesame oil

Instructions

  • First, wash the moong dal well
  • Add hot water and red chilli; soak for 30 minutes
  • Furthermore, add cumin seeds, ginger, curry leaves, and salt; grind well
  • Transfer and add 1 tablespoon of water and coriander leaves; mix well
  • Heat the oil in a greased griddle on medium flame
  • Sprinkle a little water and check if the water droplets sizzle
  • Mix the batter well
  • Add a ladle full of batter; spread well
  • Drizzle oil on top
  • Dip the dosai ladle in water; make sure the water is not dripping
  • Gently flip
  • Cook the dosai on both sides well
  • Serve hot
