Mushroom Pallipalayam

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil heaped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • dried red chillies deseeded and chopped
  • Curry leaves
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup shallots sliced
  • turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup coconut pieces chopped
  • 225 grams of mushrooms
  • salt
  • Topping
  • coriander leaves chopped
  • coconut optional extra garnish

Instructions

  • Heat the coconut oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
  • Add curry leaves, red chillies, garlic, and shallots. Sauté until they turn translucent.
  • Add turmeric powder, salt, and mushrooms. Mix well, cover, and cook until mushrooms are soft and cooked through.
  • Finally, add coconut pieces and coriander leaves. Mix well and switch off the flame.
