Rasam Olan - weekday lunch combo

Meal planning

  • Firstly, Soak black-eyed peas  for at least one hour in hot water
  • Soak tamarind for rasam
  • Chop and keep  pumpkin,  garlic, and tomatoes  ready
  • Keep rice

1-hour Indian weekday Lunch cooking 

  • Pressure cook black eyes peas 
  • pulse the ingredients for rasam 
  • After the pressure releases naturally cook pumpkin
  • Extract the tamarind and prepare rasam
  • Once the pumpkin is cooked, add the cooked black eyes bean and boil
