Traditionally carrots, cabbage, capsicum, and onion are used. You can use veggies of your choice.
Can I prepare this make ahead for a party?
Yes, if you spread the masala it tastes good that's how it is served in the bakery if you prefer crunchy bread, toast bread, and keep masala separately.

1 tablespoon peanut oil
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 green chilli
Salt
1 Onion
Turmeric powder
1 Big tomato
1/4 cup capsicum
1 Carrot
Pinch of sugar
1 cup Cabbage
2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 teaspoon garam masala
Pinch of chaat masala
1 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder

how to make masala bread with step-by-step pictures
- first, add oil and heat
- Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds; splutter
- furthermore, Add green chilli and ginger; roast well
- Add onion; roast till onion turns translucent
- Add chilli powder, garam masala, salt, and turmeric powder; mix well
- Furthermore, Add carrot, capsicum, and cabbage; saute well
- add ketchup and chaat masala; mix well and turn off the stove
- Finally, add coriander leaves; mix well
- Toast bread golden brown with butter
