    Kashayam is a healthy drink that is good for boosting immunity and weight loss. Fresh turmeric root gives a nice flavor and adds a healthy element to the tea.

    CAN I CONSUME kashayam TEA DAILY?

    Though it is good for health avoid consuming it daily. Consult your dietician for more details.

    Should I dilute kashayam?

    Yes,  you can add water according to your taste. Avoid drinking the entire batch as it might generate heat.

    WHEN SHOULD I CONSUME CAFFEINE-FREE TEA?

    you can consume it any time of the day but  It is believed that consuming ginger tea before bedtime helps for good sleep during sick days.

    turmeric OR turmeric POWDER

    You can use turmeric OR turmeric POWDER. if you are using fresh turmeric; wash well, peel the skin then use. If you are using turmeric powder, add while boiling other crushed ingredients.

    GINGER OR GINGER POWDER

    You can use ginger or ginger powder. if you are using fresh ginger; wash well, peel the skin then use. 

    Can I skip dried neem leaves?

    Yes, if it is not available skip it

    REPLACEMENT FOR HONEY

    Honey is good for sore throat but if it is not available you can use panarkarkandu or regular sugar.

    CAN I ADD HONEY TO HOT TEA?

    It is according to individual choice. If you are not comfortable adding honey when the tea is hot. Add before consuming

    Can I boil the immunity booster tea on a medium flame for 15 minutes

    No, I would recommend boiling on a medium flame for 5 minutes then boiling on low- a medium flame for 5 minutes. Finally, simmer for 5 minutes it makes the tea stronger.

    Should I cover and rest the kashyam?

    Yes, it will help to make the herbal tea flavorful so don't skip this step.

    HOME REMEDIES FOR COLD AND COUGH

    Ingredients 

    To crush

    1/4 teaspoon pepper

    1/8 teaspoon coriander seeds

    1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds

    1 clove

    1/8 teaspoon carom seeds

    Small piece of cinnamon

    1/8 teaspoon fenugreek seeds

    1/4 teaspoon ginger

    Small piece of turmeric

    5 raisins

    2 dried neem leaves

    Immunity booster tea

    2 cups Water 

    Pinch of salt

    How to make kashaya with step-by-step pictures 

    • First add coriander seeds, pepper, cumin seeds, ginger, turmeric, ajwain, fenugreek seeds, clove, and cinnamon to a mortar & pestle; crush well

    • Furthermore, add raisins and dried neem leaves and crush well

    • Add water to a wide pan and bring to boil

    • Furthermore, add crushed ingredients and boil in medium flame for 5 minutes

    • Turn down to low- medium flame and boil for 5 mins

    • Furthermore add water

    • lower the flame and boil for4 minutes

    • Finally, add salt and turn off the stove

    • Close with a lid and rest for 10 minutes

    • When herbal immunity booster tea is hot enough to drink

    • Filter and add honey

    • Mix well and drink warm
