the bark is a simple chocolate-based dessert prepared with melted chocolate and a topping of your choice. 

can I prepare Christmas bark with just one chocolate?

yes, you can use any variety of chocolate according to your preference. I have used white, semi-sweet, and milk chocolate.

can I use a chocolate bar?

yes, you can bake the entire chocolate bar and prepare the bark. Adjust the baking time accordingly.

can I use the microwave or double-boil chocolate?

yes, you can melt chocolate in the microwave or use the double boiling technique to melt chocolate. transfer to a tray, swirl, and make bark. 

Rest till set

always rest at room temperature then refrigerate. Avoid refrigerating when it is hot.

topping

you can add any topping of your choice. crushed pretzels, cookies, dried fruits, tutti fruity, etc. can be added.

3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup milk chocolate chips

how to make  Christmas bark with step-by-step pictures 

  • First, preheat the oven to 170 degrees Fahrenheit 
  • place parchment paper on a baking tray
  • Add all three varieties of chocolate chips; mix well and spread a layer

  • bake for 7-9 minutes or till chocolate melt

  • use a skewer and swirl around and make the pattern

  • Furthermore, sprinkle the topping of your choice

  • rest at room temperature for 30 minutes

  • refrigerate for at least 2 hours or till it is set

  • cut or break the chocolate; enjoy
