Pattani sundal | Frozen green peas sundal is a quick and tasty instant - 10 mins sundal variety with frozen peas. Freshly ground sundal spice gives an amazing flavor to the Pattani sundal.
Why Frozen green peas sundal?
Traditionally Pattani sundal is prepared after soaking dry peas for hours. During Navaratri, if you are looking for a quick Sundal recipe, the Frozen peas sundal sundal recipe is one tasty option. It takes less than 10 minutes to prepare this instant sundal variety. With mild sweetness, this is one of my toddler's favorite snacks.
Should I add water while cooking frozen peas?
Since I used frozen peas directly from the freezer I generally don't add water. Frozen peas get cook fast so it hardly takes 2-3 minutes to get cooked.
Is turmeric powder a must for pulsing?
No, since I ground coriander leaves I prefer adding a pinch of turmeric powder. You can skip it according to your choice. Avoid adding more turmeric powder as it will alter the taste the color and taste
Why coconut oil for Sundal?
I like coconut oil flavor for coconut-based recipes. If you are not a big fan of coconut oil, you can use any cooking oil of your choice.
Should I pulse green chilli?
No, to make it toddler-friendly I prefer pulsing chilli. Also, pulsing green chilli along with ginger gives a nice flavor.
