Coming back to my Kathirikai Murungakkai Poriyal. As I have mentioned in my previous post I have been posting my everyday cooking in IG. This Monday I cooked brinjal - drumstick Kara kuzhambu for lunch and shared it in IG. After seeing that Amma suggested my Chennai Neighbor Aunt’s Kathirikai Murungakkai Poriyal.
After I become active in blog and started posting in Facebook, Amma joined FB. I was telling her about my recent madness for IG and she joined IG just to see my posts. For every daughter their mom is the world’s best chef, and I can definitely say it is vice vera for every mom. Whatever I post there will one like from my lovely heart. As always Amma was proud and showed my kuzhambu feed to Aunty, and she suggested this recipe. I have tasted this many times in her home but forgot about it. I thought of making a note in my blog before I could forget it.
I have posted lot of Aunty’s recipes in my blog. Vendakkai Puli kuzhambu, Potato thokku , Paruppu Urundai kuzhambu are few of the recipes I could immediately recollect.
If you are regular to TMF you would have noticed a lot of Brinjal based recipes here. Couple of brinjal based recipes that I have posted before,
This times it is with yet another favorite veggie - Drumstick.Kathirikai Murungakkai Poriyal can be prepared within 15 minutes. Aunty makes two version of this combo on is this Kathirikai Murukankkai thokku and other is pori kuzhambu, you will see the recipes of kuzhambu when I do kuzhambu series.

Glad to hear your Mom has caught the IG Bug and its always a great deal of happiness when they see our work and feel proud about it. Loved the recipe and I bet any south indian loves Kathrikai, I myself have a sabzi with kathrikai atleast twice a week as I cannot ever get enough of it.
