    Quick and tasty mushroom fry with fresh spice powder.

    mushroom fry cooks to perfect texture when mushrooms are halved. You can also roughly chop them but avoid fine chopping.

    To crush

    1/2 tablespoon pepper

    1 teaspoon cumin seeds

    1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds

    1 teaspoon fennel seeds

    to temper

    1 tablespoon peanut oil

    1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds

    curry leaves few

    250 grams mushroom

    1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

    1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

    Required salt

    1/4 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder

    1 teaspoon sesame oil

    1/4 teaspoon ghee

    How to make mushroom pepper fry with step-by-step pictures

    • First, crush the ingredients under “to crush” and keep them aside

    • Add oil to a wide heavy bottomed pan and heat

    • When the oil turns hot add mustard seeds and curry leaves; splutter

    • Add ginger garlic paste; mix well and saute

    • Furthermore, add mushrooms and give a quick mix

    • Add turmeric powder; mix well

    • Furthermore, add chilli powder and salt; mix well and cook till moisture evaporates and the mushroom cooked well

    • Add 2 teaspoon of ground powder; mix well

    • Furthermore, add sesame oil; quickly mix

    • Add remaining powder or according to your taste

    • Simmer and saute for 3 minutes 

    • Finally, add ghee; mix well and turn off the stove
