    WHY Dried peas SUNDAL?

During Navaratri, if you are looking for a healthy flavorful temple-style Sundal recipe, pattani sundal is one tasty option.

    HEALTHY AFTER-SCHOOL SNACKS

Protein-rich pattani is good for kids and Adults. Sundal can be tasty after-school / school snacks for kids. You can also pack it in a lunchbox as a side dish.

    Always soak overnight

I would recommend a minimum of 8 hours of soaking for a perfect sundal. alternatively, you can soak in hot water for a few hours if you are in a hurry

DO I NEED TO MEASURE WATER FOR SOAKING?

it is optional but to make the recipe beginner-friendly friendly I have given water measurements.

    WHY COCONUT OIL FOR SUNDAL?

I like coconut oil flavor for coconut-based recipes. If you are not a big fan of coconut oil, you can use any cooking oil of your choice.

    SHOULD I ground CHILI?

It is optional but grinding chilli with other ingredients makes it flavorful, instead you can use sundal podi or just coconut for making sundal
