Why Sukku malli kaapi?

Dry ginger, coriander seeds, pepper, and cumin seeds are good for health. Consuming dry tea helps to reduce headaches and inflammation. It is also a good remedy for cold/ cough. It is also good for digestion and weight loss

does it has caffeine?

no it is caffeine free coffee. Avoid adding coffee or tea powder while preparing chukku coffee.

Can I consume sukku malli coffee daily?

Though it is good for health avoid consuming it daily. Consult your dietician for more details.

When should I consume caffeine-free dry ginger coriander seed tea?

you can consume it any time of the day but  It is believed that consuming ginger tea before bedtime helps for good sleep during sick days.

GINGER OR GINGER POWDER

You can use dry ginger or ginger powder. Dry ginger works well for sukku tea. if you are using dry ginger; wash well, peel the skin then use.

REPLACEMENT FOR honey

Honey is good for sore throat but if it is not available you can use panarkarkandu or regular sugar.

panarkarkandu is good for sore throat but if it is not available you can use regular sugar.

Can I consume the coriander seed kashyam as is?

It is concentrated / strong. You can drink very little as is but to serve kids add extra water and sweetener

shelf life of sukku malli podi

It stays good for months but fragrance wont. I would recommend making small batches for few weeks.

Home remedies for cold and cough

Ingredients

Sukku malli podi

clove 1 

2 tbsp ginger powder

pepper 1 tsp 

cumin seeds 1 tsp 

coriander seeds 1 tbsp 

cardamom 1 

Sukku kaapi

2 cups water

1 tsp sweetener of your choice

2  tsp sukku malli podi

How to make a sukku kaapi with step-by-step pictures

  • Dry roast coriander seeds, pepper, and cumin seeds til they turn aromatic and change color

 

  • Turn off the stove and add ginger powder

  • mix well and cool

  • Grind and store it in an airtight container after it is completely cool

Sukku malli coffee

  • Add water, sukku malli podi, and

 

  • Filter and drink warm

sukku malli coffee is concentrated / strong. You can drink very little as is but to serve kids add extra water and sweetener
