Marinating the veggies makes them flavorful so I would always recommend doing it

If you like butter flavor you can use butter instead of oil. Sesame oil gives amazing flavor to the rice so I would recommend that.

Yes, you can use black or white pepper powder. Adjust the pepper powder according to your spice.

VARIETY RICE WITH GARLIC/ ONION
Ingredients
Marinate
1/2 cup capsicum
1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
1+1/2 cup carrot beans
2 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon white pepper powder
2 tablespoon vegetarian oyster sauce with mushroom
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup frozen peas
1 teaspoon salt, heaped
Fried rice
2 tablespoon sesame oil
1 cup basmati rice
2 tablespoon garlic
1+1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon soy sauce

- add ingredients under “marinate” mix well and marinate for 30 minutes
- soak rice for 20 minutes
- add oil and heat
- roast garlic
- add marinated veggies; sauté for 30 seconds
- add rice; sauté for a minute
- add water and soy sauce; boil well
- pressure cook for 2 whistles
