Badam halwa | Almond flour halwa | Almond halwa | Almond flour recipe is a tasty Indian sweet recipe. Usually, Almond flour halwa is prepared with almonds, here is a quick version with Almond flour/meal. Delicious halwa can be prepared within 10 minutes. Perfect make-ahead dessert for Pooja, party, get-together, etc.

I am sticking to my “Sweet February” theme. My sweet series will be incomplete if Almond flour-based recipes are not present. Almond flour goes into my poriyal, Chutney, Sweet, cookie, dessert, etc. Last week we went to a friend’s place. I took my Almond Katli, that’s when I realized I haven’t posted any Almond flour sweets. Today I was browsing my drafts and I saw a few traditional sweets with almond meals.

This week it is going to be Almond flour-based sweets in TMF. If you have Almond flour in the pantry there is going to be some easy Indian sweets to try😊😋

Whether to eat or cook, personally I like halwa. Quick to prepare and super addictive. Having a sweet tooth usually it is me at home who will have a list of sweets whenever parents travel. With Almond halwa, it is always my hubby. He likes “Sri Krishna Sweets” Almond flour halwa. Whether someone comes from India or a courier Almond halwa will always be present.

Unlike other halwa, lengthy preparation steps kept me off from making it home. Once a pack of Almond flour halwa came in courier. While eating we tried to offer to my son but even before trying, we heard a big no. I said it is “Yellow Kesari” somehow that made him try and he started liking it.

Since Almond is good for health I started making it regularly for him. Once when Amma was here she saw me using Almond flour for many dishes when she asked why I am not using for halwa. I thought why I didn’t think about it.🤔

Nowadays Almond halwa has become one of the easiest sweets. The evening after my son wakes from his nap, I can make it within 10 minutes. No soaking of almonds and peel the skin. This Shortcut recipe doesn’t compromise on the taste✋🏻

Soak almonds in hot water for an hour and peel the skin. Dry roast the almost a bit till the wet texture goes and pulse it into a powder
