Quick 10 mins home-style garlic soya rice. super easy to make and tastes delicious. The perfect way to finish leftover rice and include protein in a meal

WHY SOYA CHUNKS for poondu sadam

Protein-rich soya is less used because of its bland taste but if cooked right it makes the dish flavorful. A meal maker is a great source of protein for vegetarians. Garlic soya fried rice is perfect for people for a quick filling meal

MINI MEAL MAKERfor chilli pepper rice

Always use a mini-meal maker as it soaks fast and gives the best flavor to the rice

RICE FOR SOYA CHUNKS BRIYANI

I have used Sona masoori rice. You can use any variety of rice according to your choice. Adjust water accordingly.

CAN I USE ghee FOR COOKING?

yes, you can use ghee. Sesame Oil gives amazing flavor to fried rice so I prefer using it. I like to use little ghee toward the end

SIDE DISH FOR BIRYANI

Rice goes well with raita varieties, gutti vankaya kura, kathirikai chops, plain kurma,  mirchi salan, and raita

LEFTOVER RICE

Leftover refrigerated rice works best for fried rice. Adding sesame oil gives extra fluffiness and taste to the rice.

CAN I USE HOT RICE FOR INdian chilli garlic fried RICE with soya?

No never use hot rice for fried rice. If you don’t have time to cool the rice transfer the rice to a plate and drizzle sesame oil. Bring the rice to room temperature then prepare soya fried rice.

CAN I USE BLACK PEPPER POWDER?

Red chilli powder gives a nice color so I used it. If  you are using pepper powder use it when cooking

Will garlic smell raw

If you roast rice on medium-high flame it won’t taste raw.
