Butter crackers | Whole Wheat butter cracker are super healthy snacks for kids and adults. Butter gives amazing flavour to this cracker. Guilt free to munch on.
Giving healthy snacks for kids is every mom's biggest concern, well at times more than helathy, there is one big question, whether they will eat it. The one which worked yesterday may not work today.
Everyday its experimenting.Ever since Vishvak started solid food, the topic about kids food will always come whenever I talk to my friends. Whenever my friend suggest something I wanted to try.
3 course healthy meal for is one side but healthy mid- morning and evening snacks was another concern. Vishvak was initially big fan of corn puff then he started liking store brought multi grain crackers. I wanted to try something in home.

Notes
- Freshly squeezed orange juice gives the best flavor to the cake so I would highly recommend that however, you can also use store-bought orange juice
- I have used sour cream but you can use yogurt or hung curd for this recipe. Make sure the curd doesn't have whey separated and Always use non-sour hung curd
- you can use 1/2 cup of condensed milk or 1/2 cup of sour cream or use 2 eggs instead of curd. If you are using condensed milk adjust the sugar accordingly.
- Over-mixed batter results in a dense cake so always sieve the dry ingredients well before mixing
- For the vegan orange cake, replace melted butter with flavorless oi
- you can add any frosting of your choice. You can also prepare an orange glaze with powdered sugar and orange juice.

True feeding children the right kind of food is the biggest concern for mothers and if you have a fussy eater the concern just doubles. The butter crackers are wholesome for the little ones. Having whole wheat its a healthier option and lightly flavoured with cumin, the little ones are bound to love these.

Wow, these crackers look superb. At first sight,I thought those were store bought. Then only I saw the recipe. It looks very crunchy. Crunchiness is a plus when it comes to kids.
I so understand what you said. One day kids may like something and the next day, they don't even want to taste it. " Kids", right ? 🙂
