    Haldiram  Namkeen with moong dal

Looking for the perfect crunchy snack to satisfy your cravings? Haldiram Moong Dal Namkeen is a timeless Indian favorite known for its crispy texture, savory flavor, and protein-rich goodness. Whether you're hosting guests, packing a lunchbox, or enjoying a tea-time treat, this golden snack delivers taste and tradition in every bite. In this post, we’ll explore how to make moong dal namkeen at home, why Haldiram’s version is so popular, and tips to get that signature crunch.

    Should I fry crispy dal?

Yes, always fry crispy dal. Fry  till bubbles subside and the sshh sound ceases

    Flavors

You can add any flavor of your choice. Adjust the spice according to your taste

What is moong dal namkeen made of?

It’s made from split moong dal, soaked, dried, deep-fried, and seasoned with salt or spices.

     Is moong dal namkeen healthy?

It’s rich in protein and fiber, but since it’s deep-fried, moderation is key. Opt for air-fried or baked versions for a healthier twist.

How long does homemade moong dal namkeen last?

When stored in an airtight container, it stays fresh for up to 2 weeks.

    Optimal oil temperature

    • Too hot oil - dal turns dark (burn)
    • Not hot enough - sinks to the bottom of the pan soon after dropping
    • Right Oil Temperature - dal float
