Paruppu sadam Vadam Curd rice pickle

  • Soak rice + lentil for at least one hour
  • Fry vadam and keep it aside
  • Keep rice separately for curd rice 
  • steam cook frozen gooseberry 
  • chop and keep onion, tomato, and garlic ready 

1-hour lunch preparation

  • Drain the cooked gooseberry in a colander and keep aside
  • Saute and cook Arisi Paruppu sadam in instant pot
  • Mash the rice kept for curd rice, add milk and salt; mix well and let it cool
  • Temper for curd rice, and add it to the mashed rice
  • After the instant pot pressure release naturally add salt and ghee let it rest
  • Do the tempering and prepare gooseberry pickle
  • After the rice is cool, add curd and sour cream, mix well
