    Podi, Kootu, rasam, Varuval - South Indian meal combo 

    Quick 1-hour weekday lunch

    • Soak dal for rasam
    • Pressure cook dal and kovakkai in two cooker separators and cook for two whistles
    • Cook pumpkin in a separate cooker and after the pressure release naturally, make kootu
    • Use tamarind paste and prepare rasam with cooked dal
    • Slow roast kovakkai for 20 minutes
    • Finally served everything with prepared thengai podi and rice

    Thengai podi | coconut dry powder

    Thengai Podi is a dry Powder (podi) with coconut(Thengai) and freshly roasted and ground spice mix. It tastes good with rice and tiffin vareity. quick 10 minutes coconut powder. it stays good for months.

    Paruppu rasam

    kovakkai fry is simple, easy to make homestyle poriyal/ varuval recipe using Ivy gourd. Steaming and slow cooking makes it a healthy South Indian style stir fry variety

    Pumpkin paal kootu

    Yellow Pumpkin Paal kottu | பரங்கிக்காய் பால் கூட்டு is a tasty 15 minutes kootu Without any dal, this is one quick-Kootu variety.
