    Coconut rice Arbi fry - lunch box combo

    • Firstly pressure cook Seppankizhangu with required salt, water, and turmeric powder for 1 whistle
    • drain the water, add marination and refrigerate for 1 hour
    • Wash rice and add to the cooker separator. Add coconut milk and water; pressure cook for 2 whistles
    • fluff the rice and keep aside
    • if you are using frozen coconut thaw

    Coconut rice

    • Use coconut oil and add the ingredients mentioned in “ to temper”
    • Add coconut and saute well till moisture evaporates and coconut slightly change color 
    • finally, add  rice and required salt; mix well

    Arbi fry

    • Add enough oil to shallow fry and heat the oil
    • When oil turns warm add marinated seppankizhangu and Curry leaves; saute in low flame
    • roast well to your desired texture 
    • finally, add asafoetida and turn off the stove
