Coconut rice Arbi fry - lunch box combo
- Firstly pressure cook Seppankizhangu with required salt, water, and turmeric powder for 1 whistle
- drain the water, add marination and refrigerate for 1 hour
- Wash rice and add to the cooker separator. Add coconut milk and water; pressure cook for 2 whistles
- fluff the rice and keep aside
- if you are using frozen coconut thaw

- Use coconut oil and add the ingredients mentioned in “ to temper”
- Add coconut and saute well till moisture evaporates and coconut slightly change color
- finally, add rice and required salt; mix well

Arbi fry
- Add enough oil to shallow fry and heat the oil
- When oil turns warm add marinated seppankizhangu and Curry leaves; saute in low flame
- roast well to your desired texture
- finally, add asafoetida and turn off the stove
