    Tiffin Combo - Sabudana Khichdi Boondi raita

    Sabudana khichdi boondi raita combo

    Tiffin preparation

    If you are going to use frozen coconut, thaw them

    TO CHOP

    • Potato  for Khichdi
    • Coriander leaves for khichdi and raita

    TO SOAK

    • Firstly soak Sabudana well and soak for 6 hours or till they turn soft press for Khichdi

    To cook

    • Microwave potatoes with enough water and salt till they turn fork tender for Khichdi

    To grind

    • Coarse pulse peanuts

    Sabudana Khichdi

    • Drain water  from sabudana and potatoes well
    • Add green Chilli, curry leaves, and cumin seeds to hot oil; let them splutter
    • Furthermore, add potatoes and a little salt and cook for 5 minutes or till the potatoes starts turning slightly brown
    • Lower the flame and add sabudana, salt, sugar, and peanut; mix gently
    • Turn down the flame to the lowest setting and cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes
    • Avoid sauteeing frequently
    • Turn off the stove and sprinkle coconut and coriander leaves, give a good mix
    • Squeeze lemon juice before serving

    Boondi raita

    • Whisk the curd with little water
    • Add salt, chilli powder, cumin powder, chat masala, and mix
    • Finally, mix boondi and serve
