    Kuzhambu poriyal paruppu vadam

    • Firstly soak 1/4 cup of toor dal 
    • chop and keep vegetables ready
    • keep rice

    1-HOUR WEEKDAY LUNCH

    • Dry roast the required ingredients for curry and let it cool
    • Ground it and keep it aside 
    • sauté onion and add brinjal; roast till Brinjal s are cooked; let it cool
    • Wash the mixie jar and ground coconut for Kuzhambu 
    • Use  tamarind paste and prepare kuzhambu
    • After Brinjal is cool add the coarse ground mixture and prepare poriyal
    • Fry Vadam and let it cool

    Dal Tadka - kids friendly 

    • Pressure cook dal with 3/4 cup of water and a pinch of turmeric powder
    • Add 1/2 tablespoon of ghee and when the ghee is hot add 1/8 teaspoon of mustard seeds, 1/4 teaspoon of cumin seeds, and 2 fenugreek seeds, let them splutter
    • Furthermore add cooked dal, 1/4 cup of water, a pinch of turmeric powder, a generous pinch of garlic powder, a pinch of ginger powder, required pepper powder, and a pinch of chilli powder; let boil for 5 minutes
    • garnish with coriander leaves and add a generous pinch of hing and turn off the stove
